Overview
The Monolith Deathcult is a relatively new Death Metal band from the east of the Netherlands. Their purpose is to teach all the morbidness and destructive power in the art of Death Metal to the musically stuffed to the gills audience. Not going the cliché way of a shamelessly dry-bled genre, but going for an emotionless and hyper-modern approach. All members have experience in the Metal scene, with bands like Altar and Dead Head. This musical baggage is a guarantee for a post mortal eruption of sound, of which the spasms will be felt for a long time. The Monolith Deathcult plays relentlessly complicated yet catchy Death Metal. Hyper speed drumming, screaming yet catchy guitar riffs and a triple vocal attack make The Deathcult a very special sound experience ! In a very short time span they have worked their way into the highest ranks of the Dutch Death Metal scene. In November 2002 the 4-track promo “Obliteration of The Despised” was unleashed, immediately resulting in a record deal with Cold Blood Industries (the label of God Dethroned mastermind Henri Sattler). The band’s debut album “The Apotheosis” was released in 2003, followed by 2 very successful European tours with Skinless and The Crown (twice). Soon after Karmageddon Media offered the band a record deal resulting in this new album “The White Crematorium”. The Monolith Deathcult will teach you a new culture of Death!
